Online Application Available for the Short-Term US Embassy Policy Specialist Program The Short-Term US Embassy Policy Specialist Program (EPS) offers US senior scholars an opportunity to conduct research abroad while serving as experts to a US embassy or consulate. This year, IREX anticipates awarding four grants. Successful applicants will demonstrate how their experience, skills, and knowledge will benefit US Embassy personnel, as well as the academic merit and feasibility of their proposed research. Grantees will serve the embassy or consulate and conduct their own research for approximately one month. Examples of embassy service can include attending meetings, giving lectures, writing policy papers, assisting with grant panels, and consulting with embassy policy staff.
