Central Asia News Monitoring

Provide news and openly available information from the worlds public media for
relevant political and economic material and translate selected reports into clear
idiomatic English. The volume of work will vary, but generally you will be expected
to frequently liaise with Central Asia News Monitoring. You will be required to have
access to a computer and the Internet, enabling you to send and receive e-mails.

- Position open to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan & Mongolia residents
- Higher education
- Experience in working in an International Company with a news distribution network
- Experience in regional political and business activities
- Local news media contacts
- Good communication, reporting/interviewing skills
- Collects local news and conducts local news analysis reporting.
- Extensive experience in use of the Internet.
- In-depth knowledge of the political and economic affairs of your country and the
surrounding region.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Work experience in the Central Asian Republics
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with representatives from member
countries, in particular Governments and NGOs
