Thanks to Ron Brown Program alumna Katarina Nedeljkovic for sending this along.

The EU announced a call recently for bids for translation and expert/legal revision
services as follows:
- EU Acquis from English/other official EU language to Serbian;
- national legislation from Serbian into English
- revising documents already translated in Serbian
- extending and updating Serbian version of Eurovoc

The basic criteria for tender is the quality of CVs of key experts, and secondarily
the price. This pilot project would last for six month, and the beginning would be
most likely in mid-May. It is expected that the new tenders would follow after this
one. The bidders, i.e. the experts may not be employed with a state budget-sponsored
agency (government, state universities etc.).

The future experts are not obliged to devote full time to this project, i.e. they
can work on it part-time. However, it is important that they are in position to
undertake that they will daily, depending on their choice, translate or revise a
certain number of pages during that period, pursuant to their time possibilities.

The interested applicants for this project who would like to join a winning bidder
group to be made of foreign-educated national experts should ASAP contact Katarina
Nedeljkovic by email katia@eunet.yu or by cell 381 63 531 844, at latest by APRIL 8.
The prospective applicants are kindly asked to mail their CV in English (outlining
their education, work experience and in particular details on previous translation
experience or experience with EU law) with indication what they would like to do
(translation or expert/legal revision) and what volume of business, i.e. which
number of pages they can guarantee daily during a 6-month period.
