Do you mean that your husband is getting an F-1? F-2 is a visa for a spouse of an F-1 student. I don't know anybody who has done it but I don't think it's a problem. |

Initially, i intended to apply a F2 visa, but the VO only give me a B2 visa. Actually,i hope i can be with my husband during his study there. So i want to change my status to F2. If u have ever heard such things, please tell me. thank u very much. |

It shouldn't be a problem. The procedure is quite standard. Just go the the Int'l. Student Advisor that your husband should know at the school. It may help to go together, as the person will have to photocopy both of your travel documents, etc.
It's not a fast process (maybe three or four months), but it can be done. This won't put a new visa in your passport, but will change your status. Next time you leave the U.S. you'd have to apply for the new F-2 visa for your passport. Good luck. |
