I am here in california for social visit. I intend to study here in am ESL school. Can anyone tell me which school allows me to apply for a F-1 Visa? Also how much & how long will the course be. I dun have much $$$ so I need to look for a cheap school. I am having a green I-94 form. Can I change my status here to an F-1 without leaving the country? If i have to leave, how long will it take for the approval of the F-1 in my country? Can anyone help? |

The green I-94 card would indicate that you came to the 'States on a visa waiver. You won't be able to change status while here. You should leave before the expiration date on the card and apply for another visa from home. While here you could check into some schools and see about getting an I-20 to bring home with you. That'll allow you to apply for the F1 student visa for your return. |
