ILLEGALLY studying in the United States
thegreatone
hi
i have a problem and i wonder if anyone could help me with it
currently, i have a b1/b2 visa and am in the US. I am currently studying in high school (junior year) and am close to graduating
the obvious problem is-i don't have a student visa! i am staying here in the US by extending my I-94 status so i can stay an extra 6 months
i'll try to leave the US then come back again to get a new I-94 status so that i'll stay another 6 months, then i'll get another extension of stay for 6 months
WILL IT WORK?
that means i'll be studying in the US for 2 years for free under a tourist visa
i'll apply for a student F-1 visa once i graduate from high school
can i do that????? i mean, it's sortof "illegal" to study in the US under a tourist visa for 2 years
will the INS grant me a student visa?
i am an excellent student with 4.0 GPA and will want to attend a public university.
I NEED SOME HELP
PLEASE REPLY!!!!!!!!

My case is very similar to yours. I studied illegaly
during the 4 yrs of high school. Graduated almost
2 yrs ago. After that i apply for a CHANGE OF
STATUS, B1 to F1 visa. I enrolled in a Community
College in NY, and well i'm still waiting for a reply,
it's been more than a year!! and nothing.....
meanwhile i think it's a total waste.... i've been
payin DOUBLE TUITION, and i still don't have the
student visa. When i recently found out that there
are other illegals studying without papers, and
payin regular tuition like other residents. SO, i've
been thinking of just dropping the student visa
option . I still don't know.... SHOULD I??? i won't
be able to pay double tuition at some
point...besides what benefits do i get as an
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT. i got a job already, a
licence, bank account, credits, u name it i got it
EXCEPT that much amount of money.
and i do want to transfer and then i will have to do
the I-20 again and go through the entire deal
again.
I NEED SOME ADVICE ON THIS ONE. before i go
broke.
"thegreatone" i hope this helped u out a bit.

thanks a lot.
