I need help and quick! I'm supposed to start work Monday and I don't have authorization. How do I get it?
I was here until August of 2000, then I went back to Canada. I came back in Janurary of this year as an F-1 student. I'm still a student. Does that 5 month rule apply to me? If so, what do I do now? My student advisor told me he was sorry...that's it. Any help is appreciated. The company willing to hire me is also willing to sponsor me, but that will take months or years. help! |

If you're from Canada, ask your advisor, or the company, to check into a Trade NAFTA visa (TN). I'm not sure if you can be a part-time student on this visa, but that may be your best bet. |
