My local SSN told me that they are no longer issue
SSN to foreign students after Sept 11. Is this a permanent change in regulation? or just some bureaucracies to discourage application? Please advise. Thank you. |

Print out the questions & answers for this site & show them to your int'l. student advisor. Then ask him or her to write a letter on your behalf to the local social security office explaining that you're eligible for an on campus job that requires you to have a social security number. Also, show the person at the social security office this link from the social security administration on the topic of SS#s for int'l. students.
