Hi,
My OPT starts about 10 days from now. I am yet to graduate as i have my research study left out. I am out of the USA right now on vacation. But I may not be able to get back to USA on health grounds. What could be the complications if i stay back where I am for month or so? Can the starting date of OPT be postponed? Will it be okay with the INS? |

Unfortunately OPT cannot be postponed or even cancelled. You will lose these 3 or 4 weeks that you will stay out of the country.
Make sure you have a valid visa when you return - EAD alone is not enough. Other than that I don't think you will have any problems from the INS. |
