What does '12 credit hours' per semester mean? Does it have to be 12 units per sem as an F1?
Could it be 9 units only but you spend 12 hours per week in class? Coz' there are some subjects that have 3 units but you spend 4 hours in class. Moreover, graduate students could take at least 9 credit hours per sem. as stated in the Int'l student guide handbook. Supposing I'm a graduate student in my country with B.A. degree, am I considered as a graduate student so, I could take only 9 credit hours per sem instead of 12 credit hours in my current study here in the US? I just want to be clarified so I could maintain my F1 status. Thanks! |
