Hi everyone.
Could you please elaborate on how one can get a work permit based on economic hardship? I had my uncle sign the affidavit and financial support documents, although it was my father who would actually send my costs. But will it be possible to ask for a work permit based on the fact that I have lost my real source of income, even if my uncle is still financially well off? TIA, Babak |

To the best of my knoledge you can't do that. It would mean your uncle lied on the affidavit of support, which states he is going to pay all your expenses.
If you describe this situation to the INS you could probably lose your status altogether (I'm not 100% sure about that). |
