Hi everyone, I'm a graduate student and will soon begin my first semester. In what cases will I be able to take a leave from my second semester (next fall) and not be out of status? What will I have to pay (fees and tuition and insurance...)
TIA, Babak |

I don't think you can take a leave from your school unless you go abroad for the duration of the semester. Then you'll have to come back with a new I-20.
You are required to maintain a full course of studies. There is a possibility to take less then full course of studies if you can prove you have some serious helth problems. You'll need your school's permission in both cases. |
