I'm on OPT which expires on 1/08/2003 & my F1 visa expires on 4/30/2002. I need to briefly visit my home country in June, so I need to apply for a new F1 visa in Canada because it takes so long to get an F1 visa in my country. My international center advisor has told me that I could get a new F1 visa if I come up with a good story, but obviously she cannot guarantee it. Surely, my life would be completely screwed up if I went to a US consulate in Canada and couldn't get a new F1 visa. Should I test my luck or should I just forget about visiting my country? Any similar experiences? |
