Here's a few web links that might be helpful to people checking this site. The last one would be especially good for those looking for a safe place to live near their school. Here's a few more for you:
1) Information about the upcoming diversity visa lottery: http://travel.state.gov/dv2002.html Note that it only costs the price of a postage stamp to enter the diversity visa lottery, though there are "services" out there that will charge $75 or so to mail the letter for you. The justification they use is that they're providing a consistent address through which the government can contact you, should you "win." 2) One such group that provides this "service" is Siskind & Susser (Visa Law) at: http://www.visalaw.com/bulletin.html Their information is good, though some would argue that their lottery filing service is an unnecessary expense. 3) Links to newspapers from around the world: http://www.ipl.org/reading/news/ 4) A very helpful universal currency converter: http://www.oanda.com/converter/classic 5) Mastercard & Visa ATM locators: http://www.mastercard.com/atm/ http://visa.com/pd/atm/ 6) And here's a short list of helpful government or visa-related sites: U. S. Consular Affairs http://travel.state.gov U.S. Department of State Visa Services http://travel.state.gov/visa_services.html Internal Revenue Service http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/prod/forms_pubs/forms.html U.S. Visa Appointments in Canada/Mexico http://www.nvars.com/welcome.htm These sites should provide some helpful background information, but a person would be wise to seek out additional guidance or input from an advisor that they have confidence in. More later... |

Oh, I see you already have a bunch of these government sites already loaded up. Sorry to be redundant. |
