Hi!
I'm in the US on a J-1 as an AuPair. My year will soon be over (August), but my host family offered me to stay on for another year. I know, that I don't get another J-1 visa, but since the 2-year-rule does not apply to me, I could come back as a tourist. I want to go to school here, but college is too expensive. I'm from Germany, so I would get a visa waiver, right? I could change that into F-1, I guess - but still "working" for the hostfamily would be illegal? What is the right thing to do? I think, I don't want to stay on after the second year, but -yeah- I don't really want to do too much cheating... THANKS for your advice!!! |
