Can I leave the country after I finished my studies and before I got INS approval for the Optional Practical Training? Is it a problem to come back? |

If you leave before you get the work permit, you risk not being able to return. The ideal would be to have your I-20, recently signed by the int'l. student advisor, your work permit, and a letter from your employer, stating when you're expected back to "resume your employment."
<p>It's not a good idea to leave without the card, though people have been know to get back. 'Not worth the risk in my opinion. |
