hi I am a F1 student and my visa will expire in March. I got job offer but I can start my job from July.My question is if my employer will file petition for H1 in February, should I extend my F1 visa untill July or I can stay legally in the country till my H1 is ready.

It's legal for you to stay in the US until your
application is either approved or denied. You do not have to extend your student status. You are not allowed to work until your H-1 is approved. |
