  going back to U.S.
zhang
I've been in U.S. for three years already, i'm going to University next year; if I want to go back to China during the summer, do I need to get another visa when I'm trying to come back here?

This depends on whether you're planning to return with the same visa catagory that you entered the U.S. with before. Did you come on an F-1 visa before? Is it expired? If yes to both, then have your int'l. student advisor sign your I-20 before you leave.

If you came on some other visa type, then apply to a school and get an I-20 form before you leave. Go to the U.S. consulate and apply for an F-1 visa.

Good luck.
