OK, here's something I've learned from Klara. It has been discussed here before and it seems noone has this information:
At least in NJ international students can get a resident tuition in public schools if they have a resident sponsor. The sponsor must be an american citizen for more then 10 years. He has to issue an affidavit of support (notarized) stating that he's going to pay all student's expenses. It leaves a question if this sponsor has to be the original sponsor for the I-20. Anyone can confirm this information? None of us in NY knew about it. |
