Hi,
I applied for the American Visa Lottery twice during the last two years. Question 31 part a in the OF-156 form asks "Have you or anyone acting for you ever indicated to a US consular or immigration employee a desire to immigrate to the US or have you entered A US visa lottery?" . Shall I answer it yes or no??. Wouldn't answering YES decrease my chances of getting the F1 visa |

I don't know why you're insisting on this, but question 31 says:
"31. (a) HAVE YOU OR ANYONE ACTING FOR YOU EVER INDICATED TO A U. S. CONSULAR OR IMMIGRATION EMPLOYEE A DESIRE TO IMMIGRATE TO THE U. S.? (b) HAS ANYONE EVER FILED AN IMMIGRANT VISA PETITION ON YOUR BEHALF? (c) HAS LABOR CERTIFICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT IN THE U. S. EVER BEEN REQUESTED BY YOU OR ON YOUR BEHALF?" So there's no talk of GC lottery, and my previous answer stands. Sincerely, Babak |

If you answer "yes" they won't give you a non-immigrant visa at all. And you haven't participated in a genocide, have you? |
