H1-B visa

can i leave the country when my H1-B visa is being processed by my company. Right now I am on my F1 and am waiting for the OPT to arrive by mail.

Are you waiting for OPT or your H-1b?

You absolutely can not leave the country while
you're waiting for OPT approval. If you have OPT
approval and you're still in F--1 status, you can re-
enter the US but don't mention anything about the
H1-B when you cross the border.

Make sure you know the differenct between OPT
and H-1B. Don't confuse the two.
