I'm a freshman, and it's not even been a year since I came here and started studying towards my community college degree. Someone told me that I can apply for "work permit" (Note: Not the work-study permission under economic hardship from INS), if a company is willing to employ me. He/She also suggested that it does not require applying through the H1 category and you get your permission within a year, and a green card in another. Is this possible? |
