Coming back to US with F-1

Hi , everyone ! my name is Jenia and here's my story : I've been to US on J-1 last year . I got accepted to a college in CO before I left for my country. I have to be back to US by january to study there and I need to get an F-1. i know there's a two year hoe country residence requirement but I don't know if this applies to me and if I have to get a J-1 waiver . I hope you can help me to find this out. I'd also like to know if I have chances to get a job in US, since my country isn't ab;e to provide me financially, I'll try to do it myself

Hi Jenia,

If you were subject to the two year residence
requirement it would be noted on the J-1 visa
stamp in your passport and in the lower right hand
box of your IAP-66. If you were doing summer
camp or au pair work, you're probably OK. Check
your visa and your IAP.
