Hi , everyone ! my name is Jenia and here's my story : I've been to US on J-1 last year . I got accepted to a college in CO before I left for my country. I have to be back to US by january to study there and I need to get an F-1. i know there's a two year hoe country residence requirement but I don't know if this applies to me and if I have to get a J-1 waiver . I hope you can help me to find this out. I'd also like to know if I have chances to get a job in US, since my country isn't ab;e to provide me financially, I'll try to do it myself. i wish you luck in all your efforts and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Jenia,
If you were subject to the two year residence requirement it would be noted on the J-1 visa stamp in your passport and in the lower right hand box of your IAP-66. If you were doing summer camp or au pair work, you're probably OK. Check your visa and your IAP. Good luck! |
